In 2005 a friend of mine showed me what you can do with Photoshop. I was amazed, since my earlier childhood I wanted to create arts, images, videos. What I like about it is that all it took to create a great piece of art was a camera and a software, the rest was up to your skills and imaginations.

I started spending many hours per week studying photography and post processing. I discovered Michael Fatali and decided that he was going to be my mentor.

I specialize in landscapes, cities and interior designs. I love to learn new photography or retouching techniques and I like very dramatic type photos.

I shot a full series of photos for many years all over the world where every shot would look like as it comes straight out of a movie. Some of my photos are heavily retouched, some not. What matters to me is the emotional impact, do people get something out of it or not?

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark 3, Konica Minolta 7D with Sony 100 F 2.8 Makro.. For my landscapes I use mainly the Canon 17-40 F4, sometime the Canon 24-105 F4. When I shoot portraits I also use sometime the Canon 70-300 F4. But I would say I work at 90% with the 17-40. For architecture I use the Canon TS-E 24 F 3.5L.

I retouch most of my photos with Lightroom, and if I really need to do I do the finish touches in Photoshop. My workflow has really evolve from a lot of Photoshop to 90% Lightroom and 10% Photoshop.

I also use to do a lot of HDR using Photomatix, but I do it less and less as I find I get a more natural pleasing result using just one raw file with Lightroom. Sometime if the scene has a lot of contrast I will do several exposures and blend them using the layers in Photoshop. This technic is also called digital blending.

I think that creating images for me and people to enjoy is the most amazing job in the world :-)
